Infectious Diseases Maintenance Allowance
The Infectious Diseases Maintenance Allowance (IDMA) was a means tested payment made by the Health Service Executive (HSE) to people over the age of 16 who were suffering from tuberculosis or certain other infectious diseases. Legislation governing the scheme was repealed by the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2010 and
the scheme is no longer in operation since 9th July 2010.
